Letterpress archive box to store your flower and vegetable seeds. Inspired by the below stairs & kitchen garden storage containers and stationary used in large country houses which were always functional and simple, but often very beautiful.

The box is made from a sturdy 70% recycled card that has been handprinted, then handstitched with copper staples. The box comes with a set of four cress-coloured tabbed dividers to organise and sort your seeds packets.

The box is typeset in Baskerville, a typeface designed by John Baskerville in Birmingham around 1750. The whole set has been handprinted on a restored Victorian treadle printing press, using linseed oil ink.

  • the set includes an archive box, four tabbed dividers & an information card on how the box was made
  • designed and printed in Suffolk on a restored 150-year old letterpress

Mabel & co

Working from an old wheelwright's shop in Suffolk, Mabel & co is a designer-maker studio focused on sustainability and traditional craft practices. At the heart of the Mabel & co print room is a restored 160-year old printing press that works busily printing beautiful stationery.

Sustainability and traditional techniques are at the heart of Mabel & co; their card stock is recycled or FSC certified, the ink is linseed oil-based sourced from small British companies and all their packaging is either compostable or recyclable.
