Brown oak round serving bowl
Description
A beautiful statement piece, whether used at the dining table or elsewhere in your home.
Each serving bowl has been turned to create beautiful smooth curves both inside and out, pleasingly comfortable to hold, and just the right size and weight to elevate everyday mealtimes. Fill with pastries on a Sunday morning, or flatbreads on a Friday night.
But think beyond the table for these pieces. They would look beautiful as a tray on your ottoman, sideboard or bedside table. Use them to place candles and matches, house your jewellery or display your skincare and perfume.
Made from brown oak, felled sustainably here in Britain from small independent sawmills that really care about the quality of their timber.
Brown oak is a naturally occurring discolouration which darkens the wood and is only uncovered when the tree is cut. Known for its rich, often striped grain, it's a beautiful material to make unique objects with and really quite rare.
Small | 18.5cm x 4cm
Large | 24cm x 4cm
- each bowl is completely unique due to the nature of this characterful wood
- simply wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry straight away
- not suitable for dishwashers
- oil every few months to keep it hydrated using wood balm
Packaging & delivery
Packaging
It means a lot to us to keep our footprint as minimal as possible when sending your parcels at Object Story.
Our cardboard boxes, paper packing tape, tissue paper, paper bubble wrap, postcard and invoice can all go into your cardboard and paper recycling.
The white packing nuts we use are made from potato starch and can go in your home compost bin, or you can wash them down the sink with warm water. They're quite fun for children to get creative with, too!
Our twine is made from hemp or cotton and can also go in your home compost, or even better, be reused.
Thank you for taking care of our packaging responsibly, in support of people and our planet.
Delivery
We have two postage options:
£3.50 for a second class option
£4.50 for a faster shipping option
We use Royal Mail and DPD depending on the size and value of your items. We always use a tracked service so you can see when your parcel will arrive with you.
Please note, we aim to get parcels dispatched within three working days, but at busy times such as during sale or at Christmas, it can take us longer.
