Description
A British-made bag inspired by the classic outdoor bags of yesteryear. These are the opposite of fast fashion. Every detail has been carefully considered and consciously sourced by Ben at Portamus.
Using all the best materials and components; from traditional British woven fabrics and finishers to small Italian family-run tanneries. Even the drawstrings are woven in the UK on vintage looms.
The 'Rockness' backpack was inspired by those fantastic frame backpacks of the early 20th century that were so popular with mountaineers, especially Nordic explorers. This is a unique update of that classic, with a tubular powder-coated steel frame and multi-strap system to keep you comfortable and all your expedition essentials securely supported.
The 2-inch wide shoulder straps are padded with English suede for extra comfort. In addition, there's a Swiss woven soft webbing strap to create a cushion against your lower back allowing air to flow in between the body of the bag and your back keeping you cool on your adventures.
Numerous internal and external pockets provide ample space to organise your kit.

Packaging
It means a lot to us to keep our footprint as minimal as possible when sending your parcels at Object Story.
Our cardboard boxes, paper packing tape, tissue paper, paper bubble wrap, postcard and invoice can all go into your cardboard and paper recycling.
The white packing nuts we use are made from potato starch and can go in your home compost bin, or you can wash them down the sink with warm water. They're quite fun for children to get creative with, too!
Our twine is made from hemp or cotton and can also go in your home compost, or even better, be reused.

Delivery
We have two postage options:
£3.50 for a second class option
£4.50 for a faster shipping option
We use Royal Mail and DPD depending on the size and value of your items. We always use a tracked service so you can see when your parcel will arrive with you.
Please note, we aim to get parcels dispatched within three working days, but at busy times such as during sale or at Christmas, it can take us longer.
