Hand-turned English ash candlestick

PLEASE NOTE: these candlesticks now also include a little brass insert to place your candle into - not shown on the product images. 

This beautifully simple hand-turned wooden candlestick holder is a welcome addition to any tablescape, whether for a celebratory supper or daily mealtimes.

Made from solid British chestnut, the design for this candlestick is based on a traditional raised pie mould, but the paired back design and natural feel will suit rustic and modern interiors alike.

Hand-turned ash finished in lemon oil which maintains the pale matt hue of the wood. 

• height 8cm, diameter 6cm
• central hole is 2.2cm to fit a standard dinner candle
• if using a smaller sized candle, melt a little bit of wax on the base of the candle and place in your candlestick - once sets it holds firm.

Selwyn House is formed by Sean Best and Ellie Smalls, who met studying Fine Art at Leeds Arts University.

Always drawn to making things, Sean bought a second-hand lathe and began teaching himself woodturning. Combining their creative talents, Sean & Ellie began to create small-batch handmade tableware from the best British-grown timbers they could get their hands on.
